The study in the past few weeks has given me new ideas. I am always optimistic about Internet teaching, thinking that it can create a utopian education environment in which everyone gets knowledge equally. The development of online education has broken through the limitations of traditional school classroom teaching, and has caused changes in teaching content, learning environment, and teaching time. It better meets the public needs of society for education and provides a high-quality platform for solving social education equality issues. . Online education provides more learning opportunities for more people, realizes real-time learning, independent learning, and truly teaches students in accordance with their aptitude.

However, I have overlooked the educational inequality that may exist in online education in the context of Internet teaching. Due to multiple factors such as the level of economic development and the investment in educational resources, there are obvious differences when people among states, between urban and rural areas, among schools, among different groups, among different races, and even among different ages getting access to online education opportunities and educational resources.

If equality in education is defined as “equal educational opportunities” and “equal opportunities to obtain skills in the process of education” and “equal opportunities for academic success”, then the unbalanced level of economic development will make us more and more away from the ideal of educational equality The farther. Where the economy develops well and the education level is high, the earlier online education starts, the faster it develops, and the richer resources. Conversely, the more economically backward areas, the more lagging the online education industry. In this way, there will be a situation in which the rich get richer and the poor get poorer, making the “gap between the rich and the poor” at the education level wider and wider. In addition, there are inequalities in the quality and quantity of network resources, such as between regions and schools. Those areas and schools with relatively backward educational conditions cannot effectively use the Internet platform and lose the right and opportunity to enjoy the same advanced learning resources as children in developed areas.

Internet teaching is the inevitable direction of future education development. How to ensure equality instead of widening the education gap in this process requires the joint efforts of all sectors of society.
